Halva is a middle eastern delicacy made of sesame and honey that is typically soft and fudge-like. This recipe comes from Molly Yeh, who figured out that mixing tahini, honey, and salt makes a halva-flavored spread that is perfect for toast, for yogurt, for apple-dipping, or, for eating like ice cream.

Halva Spread
From Molly Yeh
1 cup tahini
1/4 cup honey
a good pinch of sea salt
optional: additional flavorings like cinnamon, vanilla, almond, cocoa powder, melted chocolate, toasted nuts
(I used a pinch of cardamom!!)
Mix all of the ingredients well. If your tahini is pretty thick and pasty, add flavorless oil (like vegetable oil) bit by bit until it gets creamy. Taste, and adjust as desired. Store in the fridge.
